reminiscing 2008

lately, a few close friends of mine i've known since secondary school starting talking about meeting up... and it really made me think back of the days when i was 16 and busy studying for exams, staying back late for extra classes, leaving the school right away (in fact we were the first few ones to leave!) to study more back at home, having crazy conversations in the classrooms, doing crazy things and lessons with all the fun teachers i had.

when i was 16, i thought the tough stuff that i went through was the hardest things in my entire life. looking back at my life, i really think that all those "tough stuff" aren't really tough at all compared to what i face now. i miss my secondary school life, but i'm even more excited for my future!

this was sketched and done from memory, the girl beside me with the short cropped hair was the closest friend i ever had in secondary school... in fact, i knew her all my secondary school life! :) and yes, our uniforms were really red and black!

transatlanticism

here's a quick sketch while listening to Transatlanticism by Death Cab for Cutie (String Quartet version) and the song is really just so beautiful. it made me think of the kind of pride and prejudice era love stories... how a girl is crying and the guy who loves her comforts her. :) i think i am a hopeless romantic, but i also do understand that true love is not all about romance.

well anyway! here's a peek of the sketch... i am probably going to clean it up and add the color in. drawings makes me happier while i'm going through all the 3d animation in my final year project!
